Jacks Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Nouri mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use Nouri, we collect:
Account information: email address, name, and authentication details from sign-up (whether you use email, Apple, or Google).
Profile information: the data you provide during onboarding, including gender, birthday, height, current weight, goal weight, target date, activity level, eating style, motivations, and preferences.
Food logs: the meals and foods you record, including the text or images you submit and the nutritional estimates generated for them.
Weight history: any weight entries you log over time.
Subscription and trial status: the plan you are on, when your trial began, and whether your subscription is active.
Device information: basic technical data such as device type, operating system version, and app version, used to maintain and improve the App.
Usage analytics: aggregated data about how features are used, to help us improve Nouri.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Provide the core functionality of the App, including nutritional estimates, goal tracking, and progress views.
Personalize your experience based on your goals and preferences.
Process subscriptions, trials, and payments through Apple and RevenueCat.
Send transactional and account-related communications.
Maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the App.
Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate Nouri:
Supabase: our database and authentication provider, where account and app data is stored.
Railway: our backend hosting provider.
Google (Gemini): processes the text of your food logs to generate nutritional estimates. Inputs are used for inference only and are not used by Google to train their models.
Exa: assists with searching nutritional information.
RevenueCat: manages subscription state and entitlements.
PostHog: processes anonymized analytics data.
Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In: handle authentication when you choose those sign-in methods.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Jacks Labs LLC, our users, or others.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
5. AI and Your Data
Nouri uses AI to estimate calories and nutritional content from the text or images you submit. Your submissions are sent to our AI providers (such as Google's Gemini) for inference only. We do not use your data to train AI models, and our providers do not train on user inputs sent through our API.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
Update your profile information at any time from within the App.
Delete individual food logs or weight entries.
Delete your account, which permanently removes your profile, logs, and associated data.
Contact us at support@nouriapp.co to request a copy of your data or to ask questions about how we handle it.
7. Children
Nouri is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@nouriapp.co and we will delete it.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
Subscriptions are processed and managed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your credit card information. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies.
9. Health Disclaimer
The nutritional estimates and recommendations provided by Nouri are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of Nouri after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
